A book combining imagination, playing and learning. Starting with the Greek verb meaning ‘eat’, ‘play’ or ‘live’, the younger children learn the letters through funny combinations of words which start with each letter while the older children create hilarious and often nonsensical combinations of adjectives and nouns for each of the 24 letters in the Greek alphabet. Its aim is learning how adjectives and nouns work as a game rather than as a chore, and though language barriers make effective translation impossible, some equivalent English combinations might be ‘I eat
crazy cockroaches’, ‘I play with a heartbroken helicopter’, ‘I live with a bald bear’, ‘I eat eccentric elephants’, etc.
The book's amusing illustrations ensure that fun is had by all.
