A poetic and surreal tale for children and adults about the cycle of life. Its hero is the little chicken Dumbcluck who from the moment that she hatches wants to return to being an egg. "To become an egg you must first grow up and wait for the time to come", her grandmother tells her. "To become an egg once more you must pass through seven sorrows, seven joys and seven thousand colours", whispers the voice of her good fortune.
Eventually time comes and Dumbcluck leaves the hen run to head for the land where it rains and does not rain. Along the way she comes to see that the days do not go round and round in wristwatches but pass by
on the road, playing the game of joy and sorrow. Dumbcluck lives through moments when she comes to know all life’s truths.
