"The hen that became an egg"

Sophia Madouvalou, much loved by children and well known for her abhorrence of the trite, has once more proved her mastery in her chosen field. The Hen that Became an Egg is a ‘philosophical’ fairy tale far removed from the common run. Its originality lies in its narrative style, the poetic images that follow continuously one upon the other, its magical imagination and, of course, the humour that characterizes all this author’s work. The book is the fairy tale of life, with many other fairy tales concealed within it. The text can be interpreted at many levels and can thus be read by children and adults alike.
